At Rain City Water Polo, we actively participate in tournaments throughout the year, providing valuable opportunities for our players to apply their training, foster team cohesion, and ignite their passion for water polo. These tournaments include local events and those involving travel, ensuring a diverse range of competitive experiences for our athletes. We highly recommend that athletes participate in our league and all scrimmage opportunities to get ready for tournaments.

Registration and Roster: Securing Your Spot

To secure a spot on the tournament roster, athletes must complete registration through Team Snap by the designated deadline and put done a deposit of $50. The remainder of the cost will be spread over installment payments that are specific to the tournament you are registering for. Once registered, you will receive an email confirming your acceptance on the roster. Please note that the exact cost for each tournament will be determined based on entry fees and other considerations.

Executive Head Coach Oversight: Ensuring the Best Fit

Our executive head coaches oversee final roster selections, who carefully evaluate each athlete to ensure the best fit for both the individual and the team. Their expertise and insight contribute to creating a cohesive and competitive roster.

Fees and Inclusions: Varying by Tournament Type

• For regional/local tournaments involving 18U, 16U, and 14U teams in Oregon or Canada:

• The fees cover tournament participation and hotel accommodations.

• Athletes are responsible for their travel expenses and meals during the tournament.

For other travel tournaments (18U, 16U, 14U):

• The fees cover tournament participation, hotel accommodations, and local team transportation.

• Athletes are responsible for booking their flights, with coaches guiding suitable schedules for team coordination upon landing.

• Meals during travel are the responsibility of the athletes.

For 12U/10U tournaments:

• The fees include tournament participation only.

• Athletes are expected to travel and stay with parents/guardians, who are responsible for all related expenses, including airfare, accommodation, local transportation, and meals.

• Coaches will guide optimal flights to match the tournament timeline, allowing athletes/parents to make the final booking decisions based on personal preferences and circumstances.

By participating in these tournaments, our athletes gain invaluable experience, forge lasting connections with teammates, and deepen their love for the sport of water polo. Regular practice attendance is vital to ensure readiness for tournament play.
