RCWP Launches Inaugural Washington State Cup

2013 WA State Cup web pictureOn Sunday March 24th, Rain City will kick off the first-ever Washington State Cup. This exciting development is the latest in Rain City’s various attempts to grow and showcase the sport of water polo in the Puget Sound.

The first event of its kind in Washington, the Washington State Cup is a three-month tournament that features six of the state’s premier club programs. Participants range from high school to masters age players.

On March 24th and April 21st, teams will compete in the preliminary round to determine seeding for the final weekend of competition. On May 19th, teams will face-off in a final playoff and a champion will be crowned. The six participating teams are Bainbridge Island, Rain City Water PoloRain City MastersSeattle OttersSeattle Water Polo  and Tacoma Water Polo.

All games take place at Rogers Pool in Puyallup (12801-86th Ave E, Puyallup, WA).
