14U Girls Set Sights on California

Coach Meredith with some of Rain City’s 14U girls. It’s not too late to join them for a great summer of water polo!

Rain City has been working to grow the youth girls program, which boasts increased numbers and enthusiastic, hard-working players. Inspired by the dedication and talent of these girls, we are planning to send a 14U girls team to USA Water Polo Junior Olympics this summer, for the first time in Rain City history! Junior Olympics draws hundreds of teams from across the country to compete in California each summer.

The trip to JOs is a great opportunity for ALL the girls to participate in the USA’s largest water polo tournament, gain valuable water polo experience playing against top teams, further develop skills and team work, and have a GREAT time together!  Let’s represent the PNW!

Coach Meredith McVicar will lead our girls.  She has been coaching since 2012 and believes every player has a role in and out of the pool. She creates the positive competitive experience she had as a player and promotes the love of water polo.

Coach Thor Tyson, our head youth coach with 20+ years of experience, will oversee the team and planning.
